Supporting Clients Across Georgetown

Herniated disc treatment is for people who have back pain, sciatica, stiffness, or symptoms that affect daily movement. The work starts with a new patient intake, health history, and exam so we can understand your concerns before setting care goals.

This page focuses on treatment choices for disc-related symptoms. We may use manual therapy, spinal decompression, corrective exercises, heat therapy, or ice therapy when those options fit the evaluation. Results vary, and individual response guides follow-up care.

The key decision is whether chiropractic care fits your symptoms and goals. Severe or changing symptoms need prompt medical attention, and our consultation helps identify when another type of care is more suitable.

  • Discuss back pain, sciatica, numbness, and movement limits during the consultation.
  • Review the health history and exam before choosing treatment methods.
  • Ask how exercises, spinal care, heat, or ice fit the care plan.
  • Confirm the next step and pricing before treatment begins.

Why Patients Choose This Disc Care

A plan built from your evaluation

Your health history, symptoms, goals, and exam guide treatment choices. We use upfront pricing so you can understand the cost before care proceeds.

Several non-invasive care options

Care may combine spinal adjustments, spinal decompression, soft tissue work, or corrective exercises. The method depends on what fits your condition and comfort.

A clear limit on chiropractic care

Coming into the office, the ladies at the reception desk were very professional and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the services that are offer in the office and as well as provided valuable aftercare information. The doctors that offer treatment are very pleasant to speak with and handled each patient with care. As first time patient, the experience overall was very satisfying. I would highly recommend anyone needing care to give the office in Garden City a call or stop by, walk-ins are taken as well. Smile.

Earlier this year I had a reoccurring injury. It usually flares up every few years, this year it happened twice . The first time ,I went to The Joint and another chiropractor for 2 and a half weeks. I missed almost 2 weeks of work, so in September, it hit again, so I was able to make a Friday appointment. I went in and got a substantial amount relief after one visit. I took 1 day off to get another treatment. I only missed 1 day of work, by my choice. In May with 2 other chiropractors I missed almost 2 weeks. Unless I move, I'M NOT GOING TO ANYONE ELSE!. Dr Harris and her staff was great. I've been to several chiropractors in Georgia and Florida. She is the best that I've had and she gave me countless tips to prevent more painful flare upset. Thank you Doc !

Questions About Herniated Disc Care

How does the first appointment address a disc problem?

The first appointment includes a new patient intake, health history, consultation, and exam.

  1. We discuss symptoms and daily limits.
  2. We assess movement and relevant concerns.
  3. We explain suitable care options.
  4. We set a personalized treatment plan.

Bring relevant health information so the discussion stays focused on your needs.

Which symptoms make chiropractic care a poor fit?

Serious or changing symptoms can make urgent medical evaluation more appropriate than routine chiropractic care. Sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or severe new symptoms need prompt medical attention. Tell us about all symptoms during the consultation. We can then explain whether our care fits or whether another type of evaluation should come first.

When should I ask about exercises for a herniated disc?

Ask about exercises during the evaluation, before adding movements to your routine. Therapeutic exercises need to match your symptoms, movement, and goals. Our team can explain which movements belong in your plan and how to approach them at home. Stop and report a concerning change instead of pushing through new or worsening symptoms.

Why might spinal decompression be included in care?

Spinal decompression may be included when controlled spinal movement fits your evaluation and goals. It is one option among several, not a preset treatment for every patient. We consider your symptoms, health history, and comfort before discussing it. The care plan may also include adjustments, exercises, heat therapy, or ice therapy.

What changes the price of this treatment for Herniated Disc Treatment?

The evaluation and selected treatment methods are the main factors that shape pricing. A plan using spinal care, exercises, or decompression may differ from one focused on consultation and home guidance. We explain the recommended care and provide upfront pricing before treatment begins. Ask about each planned service so you understand what the price covers.
